New President, Expansion For United Alloy
United Alloy Inc. (UAI) has named Stephan Achs as president
and chief revenue officer. Achs was formerly vice president of sales
and marketing for UAI. The company said the promotion is part of
the company’s plan to transform itself from a regional manufacturer
of components for backup generators into a firm that competes
both nationwide and internationally in serving the wider power
United Alloy is an ISO-certified OEM manufacturer of UL, UN
and NFPA fuel tanks, frames, trailers and fabrications for the power
equipment and off-highway equipment markets.
Achs previously was chief operating officer of Forrer Supply.
Before that, he served as president and chief revenue officer for
Kabelschlepp America Inc., a manufacturer of cable and hose man-
With Achs’ promotion, Jeffrey Servis has been named director of
business and market development at UAI. Servis had previously been
with Generac, Onan Power Generation and Kohler. He also served
as vice president of sales and service for Northshore Power Systems.
United Alloy’s new focus on market growth is being matched
by an expansion in manufacturing capacity. The firm is building a
112,500 sq.ft. addition to its production facility in Janesville, Wis.,
effectively doubling the plant’s floor space, expanding its capabilities and making room for an expected 30% increase in employment
over the next three to five years.
Mikalonis New Mack National Accounts VP
Mack Trucks has named Stan Mikalonis
vice president of National Accounts, responsible for leading the company’s National
Accounts team that encompasses a range
of Class 8 market segments. He succeeds
Mike Reardon, who will serve as Mack’s vice
president for the Western Region in place of
John Thomas, who is retiring.
Prior to joining Mack, Mikalonis served in
a variety of leadership roles at heavy-duty
OEM and dealer operations. He will be based in Greensboro, N.C.,
at Mack world headquarters.
Hall Named Kobelco VP
Kobelco Construction Machinery USA has appointed Randy Hall
as vice president of Operations. He succeeds Ron Hargrave, who
now serves in an advisory role for the company.
In his new position, Hall will work with the company’s territory man-
agers, direct all field sales efforts and dealer development initiatives,
manage national accounts and finance partnerships, and oversee the
overall workflow at Kobelco’s headquarters in Houston, Texas.
Hall has more than 35 years of experience in the equipment
industry and most recently served as Kobelco’s national sales
manager. He was also instrumental in establishing the company’s
preferred crawler excavator supplier agreements following the company’s brand relaunch in 2013.
