Changes At BorgWarner Thermal Systems
Daniel Paterra has been named president
and general manager, BorgWarner Thermal
Systems, the global supplier of thermal management products, technologies and systems
for heavy-, medium- and light-duty vehicles
Paterra began his career at BorgWarner
in 1994, holding a variety of positions of
increasing responsibility including vice president of manufacturing and quality, vice president/general manager for European operations and DualTronic,
vice president/general manager for friction and mechanical products in North America and China, and plant manager at
two locations. He rejoined BorgWarner after a short period at
CooperStandard, where he led 11 manufacturing facilities in North
America as the senior director of operations.
Prior to joining Borg Warner, Paterra held positions at Federal Mogul
and Rockwell International in manufacturing engineering and operations.
David Kaitschuck has been named vice
president, Global Engineering, BorgWarner
Thermal Systems. During an 18-year career
at Borg Warner, Kaitschuck has held a number of positions in nearly all of the company’s businesses, including sales manager,
account manager, product/marketing manager, director of sales, director of global engineering, and product manager director.
Prior to joining BorgWarner, Kaitschuck
worked at Black & Decker Corp. and Federal Mogul in various engineering roles.
Layman New VP At Mack Trucks
Mack Trucks named Brian Layman its
new vice president of Business Development.
In this newly created role, Layman will be
responsible for product segmentation, development and management of sales programs,
dealer measurements and new truck sales
pricing and quoting activities for truck sales in
Layman has 14 years of experience in the
trucking industry in a variety of roles, including his most recent position where he was responsible for the Mack
Trucks Academy. Prior to joining Mack, he spent eight years in various
leadership roles in the banking and finance industry. Layman will continue to be based in Greensboro, N.C., at Mack world headquarters.
AERA Names New President
Jim Rickoff has been named the sixth president of AERA
Engine Builders Association. Rickoff has been involved in the
engine-building industry since 1982, and been with AERA since
1992. He most recently served as the company’s interim president.
