A single-source lubrication system provides for easier maintenance on the vehicle, said Oshkosh. It also uti- lizes Oshkosh’s Command Zone elec- tronics system for in-cab diagnostics of the vehicle’s critical systems, including the engine, transmission, brakes and central tire inflation. The base design of the vehicle includes factory-installed armor and is also designed to accept an add-on armor kit for increased crew protection. This provides protection from mine blasts, IEDs and small arms attacks. Oshkosh said the vehicle service and support of the LVSR has been stream- lined by creating parts and mainte- nance commonality with more than 10,000 fielded Oshkosh Medium Tac- tical Vehicle Replacements (MTVR).
