Micro Dynamometer
Sakor Technologies has developed a small
motor dynamometer for low-power testing
applications. The new MicroDyne series
dynamometer is targeted toward testing
of small rotary devices, such as motors,
pumps, generators and compressors, and
is available in sizes from 100 W to 5 k W.
The MicroDyne system offers precise
speed and torque control, particularly in
low-speed applications where full torque
can be applied all the way to stall (zero
speed), the company said.

close and features a rated flow of 21. 1 gpm.

NEW HYDRAULIC
LOGIC ELEMENTS
Comatrol’s new HLE10 series units designed for higher flow, higher pressure
in more compact size
Zero-Max has developed enhanced
designs for its range of overhung load
adaptors used to accommodate axial and
radial loads on hydraulic pumps used in
applications such as forestry machinery,
oilfield equipment, recycling machines and
cold planers. Working within its OHLA con-
figurations, the company said it can incor-
porate more than 1300 custom designs
to meet specific application requirements.
These include inverted bearing designs
and multiple lubrication ports. Offered in
either face or foot mounting, standard
OHLA’s are available in over 50 variants,
with input bore sizes that range from 0.625
to 3. 5 in. SAE mounts available include A,
B, C, D, E and F mounts with two- or four-
bolt mounting flanges.
Comatrol has introduced two new high-power logic ele- ments for mobile hydraulic
systems. The model HLE10-CPC and
HLE10-OPO units were designed
to meet the need for higher flow
and pressure capability in smaller
valves, along with cost-effective valve
designs with small space claims, the
company said.
The new logic elements use a 10-3S
cavity, which Comatrol said allows for
higher flow and were designed for a
high pressure of 5075 psi. The HLE10-
CPC is a high-pressure logic element,
normally closed, pilot to close and features a rated flow of 21. 1 gpm.
The valve can be applied as a load-sensing bypass compensator for a
fixed displacement pump with single
or multiple actuators. Designers can
also apply this logic element as a
bypass-type, pressure-compensated
flow control, Comatrol said.
The HLE10-OPO is a high-pressure
logic element, normally open, pilot to
open and offers a flow rating of 15. 8
gpm. This logic element, Comatrol
said, can be used as a precompensa-tor for proportional directional control
or flow controls.
This valve also is designed for
use in combination with Comatrol’s
new PSV12-34 proportional directional control valve for compensated
flow control. Use of this logic element as a compensator ensures that
flow rate and subsequent actuator
speed are maintained regardless of
the load pressure.
The addition of these 10-3S cavity valves allows Comatrol to offer
circuit designers a full range of sizes
for these two popular schematics —
10-3, 10-3S, 12-3S, 16-3S and 20-3S
size options. The family of valves
provides flows ranging from 13 to 85
gpm for the CPC schematic and from
11 to 53 gpm for the OPO schematic,
at 100 psi pressure drop. dp
