Thomas New Terex VP Of Technology
Jacob Thomas has joined Terex Corp. as
vice president, technology. He will report
directly to Tom Riordan, president and COO
of Terex and will be responsible for new
product technology globally, working in conjunction with the business product managers
and engineering teams. Thomas will also
facilitate product standardization across the
businesses and collaborate with supply chain
management to ensure strategic alignment J. Thomas
with global suppliers, Terex said.
Thomas joins Terex from International Truck & Engine Corp.,
where he was vice president of the big bore engine business.
Previously, he was managing director of that company’s inline
engine business group and has held other program management,
manufacturing and quality assurance positions. Prior to joining
International Truck & Engine in 1998, Thomas was employed by
Case Corp. in a series of product management, product development and engineering roles.
AEM: Anne Forristall Luke has been
named the vice president of government
affairs in the Washington, D.C., office of the
Association of Equipment Manufacturers
(AEM). Luke will work in close contact with
the vice president of global public policy in
order to enhance relationships with
Congressional offices, the executive branch,
federal agencies and the public, with the goal
to increase awareness and understanding of A. Forristall Luke
the key issues and positions of the AEM membership and the entire
off-road equipment industry. Luke carries over 25 years of experience within Washington government relations and public affairs in
both the public and private sectors. Before joining AEM, Luke was
president of the U.S. Tuna Foundation.
ASHCROFT: John McKenna has been
appointed the operating officer of Ashcroft’s
parent company, Nagano Keiki Co. Ltd. at the
board of director’s meeting in Tokyo, Japan. In
addition to his responsibilities as CEO of
Ashcroft, McKenna will play a key role in the
management of Nagano, a manufacturer of
pressure gauges, transmitters and temperature gauges primarily used in automobiles.
Ashcroft’s line of gauges, thermometers, J. McKenna
switches, transducers, transmitters, calibration equipment and isolators for pressure and temperature measurement, monitoring and control products, complement the Nagano line, offering Nagano the
opportunity to grow market share outside of Japan, the company said.
MANITOWOC: Tim Martin has been named the sales and mar-
keting manager for the EnCore product at Manitowoc Crane CARE.
