The CR9000 series twin rotor combines from New Holland feature higher- horsepower New Holland Cursor diesel engines, with rat- ings from 322 to 483 hp. The engines have a power boost that takes the horsepower range to 372 to 523 hp across the four-model combine series.
T
he four models of New Holland’s CR9000 series twin rotor combines have received a number of enhancements designed to increase productivity in the field. The four-model line features the Class 6 CR9040, Class 7 CR9060, Class 8 CR9070 and Class 9 9080, the largest combine in New Holland’s portfolio. The CR9040 combine has a 315 bu. capacity and is configured for corn and bean harvesting. The CR9060 can be suited to rice and beans, corn and beans, and small grains with a tank capacity of 315 bu. The CR9070 is also available in rice and beans, corn and beans, and small grains vari- ations with a 350 bu. capacity, while the CR9080 machine is a small-grains combine with a 350 bu. tank capacity. The four combines are powered by New Holland’s six-cylinder turbo- charged Cursor diesel engines with air- to-air intercooling. The CR9040 and CR9060 are equipped with the 9.0 L Cursor 9 engine rated 322 and 360 hp at 2100 rpm. This is an increased horsepower rating for the CR9060 model versus its 2008 predecessor. A power rise boosts the rating another 55 hp at 2000 rpm. The CR9040 model has a power boost up to 372 hp. New Holland’s CR9070 combine is powered by a 10. 3 L Cursor 10 en- gine rated 420 hp at 2100 rpm with a power rise to 463 hp at 2000 rpm — also an increase over the 2008 model.
