The engine is based on the Iveco NEF engine and is turbocharged, inter- cooled and equipped with a 35 hp power boost in the 180 and 190 models and 25 hp in the 210 tractor. “Engine Power Boost recognizes when additional horsepower is needed for PTO, hydraulic or transport activities, and increases power so you maintain produc- tivity despite steep grades or tough field or crop condi- tions,” said Dean. The engines are B100 biodiesel compatible and inte- grated with Case IH’s DieselSaver Auto Productivity Management (APM) system designed to provide 25% improved fuel efficiency. A three-position switch activates the system while the engine throttle selects ground speed. Once selected, the DieselSaver system adjusts engine speed and transmission ratio to balance power and fuel economy. Three types of full powershift transmissions provide ground power for the Magnum tractors. Available are an 18-speed full powershift with the option of a 19-speed full powershift or 19-speed full powershift with 19th economy gear. Creeper speeds are optional. Case IH’s 10-bolt hub mechanical front wheel drive (MFD) axles are equipped on the rear of the tractors with Dana axles on the front. A suspended MFD axle is avail- able. Like the larger Magnum tractors, the 180, 190 and 210 tractors are also equipped with wheel slip control, height limit control, end-of-row function and ride control. Wheelbase on the machines is 118.3 in. Three electrohydraulic remotes are standard on the Magnum tractors with the option for five.
