TECHNOLOGY OF CLEAN AIR
Industries Purity DPF system reduces diesel PM by 85% or greater and does not increase NO2 emissions beyond the 2009 limit of 20% of the baseline NOx emissions. This ver- ification is subject to the terms and conditions specified in the verification and only for use with engines listed in the engine family list.

HEINZMANN/REGULATEURS EUROPA AMERICA INC. Heinzmann recently developed components for active diesel particulate filter (DPF) regeneration. Active DPF re- generation provides full control of the regeneration cycles and is necessary in industrial applications where regenera- tion is not always allowed or must be done even if the engine exhaust is cold. The system components of Heinzmann include HC and fuel dosing units in double or single versions for a wide volume flow range, safety shut-off valves, air control valves, HC atomization nozzles, as well as corresponding control units, actuators and sensors. The HC and fuel double-dosing unit PFR-DU- 1.0-D works with two independently controllable channels, where each channel can be adjusted to different volume flow ranges.

HUG ENGINEERING INC. The former CEO of Hug Filtersystems in Switzerland, Heiri Hafner, is now introducing tested and certified (by all relevant European standards) round filter systems into the American market with the aim to achieve EPA and CARB certification. The filter systems are mainly applicable for engines between 20 to 871.6 hp, especially for the on- and off-road sector. The company said its filters ensure particulate mat- ter is reduced by more than 99%. R&D and production is in Switzerland. Hug said its prod- ucts feature low maintenance costs from a long life cycle and low procurement costs due to various off-the-shelf fil- ters. All products are modularly designed and adaptable to the customer’s needs.

Does your Catalyst
and SCR meet emissions
control requirements?
FIRWIN REMOVABLE INSULATION BLANKETS
• Bring the catalyst to effective operating
temperatures faster.
• Keep the catalyst at the highest operating
temperatures possible.
• Protect personnel against accidental burns.
Exhaust gases lose heat
as they travel along
pipes and components
of the engine and
exhaust system.
Prevent heat loss with
proper insulation.
