Diesel Progress North American

Pall Corp., a manufacturer of filtration, separation and purification products, has
opened a new corporate headquarters at 25 Harbor Park Dr., Port Washington, N.Y. The 276,000 sq.ft. facility houses the laboratory and administrative operations, which were previously divided between two locations.

Manitowoc Crane has dedicated a new Manitowoc Crane Care parts distribution center in Jeffersonville, Ind. The new facili- ty, spanning 141,000 sq.ft., was opened to consolidate parts distribution centers from Manitowoc, Wis.; Shady Grove, Pa.; and Rockford, Ill., and to provide cost and time savings, said the company. It will employ 50 people when fully operational and will be responsible for more than 70,000 unique part numbers.

Correction: The January issue of Diesel Progress incorrectly reported the Transcraft line of dump trailers and dump bodies. The Transcraft flatbeds and drop deck trailers are sold under the Benson series. CT Truck and Trailer, a division of Carolina CAT was recently authorized to sell and service the Transcraft lineup at all six of its North Carolina locations. CT Truck and Trailer has facilities in Charlotte, Statesville, Greensboro, Whitsett, Monroe and Asheville, N.C. Diesel Progress regrets the error.

Volvo Construction Equipment has sold certain assets of its Michigan-based dealer Wolverine Tractor and Equipment Co. to Alta Equipment Co. In addition, Volvo has named Alta its authorized dealer in Michigan.

Daimler Trucks North America LLC (DTNA) has selected Donaldson Power- Core G2 air intake systems for its 2010 Freightliner Coronado family of heavy-duty trucks. The PowerCore G2 filtration tech- nology is designed to offer size reductions as high as 60% over conventional cellu- lose filters and 30% smaller than Donaldson original PowerCore systems. Manufactured with Ultra-Web nanofiber technology, PowerCore G2 systems deliv- er three times more capacity and up to 10 times more efficiency than conventional fil- ters, Donaldson said.
