Ashtead Technology, an instrument rental company offering environmental monitoring instrumentation, has opened a new office in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada, to meet the growing demand in that region, said the company. Ashtead’s instruments measure water quality, air quality and noise levels.
Kenworth Truck Co. has announced a second rating for its new Kenworth T470 truck. The vehicle can now be ordered with the 9.0 L Cummins ISL engine rated 365 hp with 1250 lb.ft. of torque. Previously, the T470 truck was available with only the Cummins ISL engine rated 345 hp with 1150 lb.ft. of torque. The new rating targets snowplow, dump, mixer, winch, refuse and other heavy front-axle vocational and municipal applications, the company said. The T470 truck has a GVWR ranging from a heavy Class 7 vehicle at 33,000 lb. up to a light Class 8 truck at 68,000 lb.
Sellick Equipment Ltd. has marked its 40th anniversary as a supplier of rough ter- rain material handling equipment. The Canadian company began as a family- owned company and in 1997 became part of Avis Industrial Corp. Over the years

Jacobsen, a Textron Inc. company, has realigned dealer responsibilities in the western portion of the U.S., extending terri- tories of Golf Ventures West, Phoenix, Ariz.; and C & M Golf and Ground Equipment, Waco, Texas. Golf Ventures will now serve Northern California and Western Nevada as a Jacobsen golf and professional turf equipment dealer, and C & M will assume the Colorado, New Mexico, western Texas and parts of Nebraska and Wyoming territories.
