smaller and smaller, Kubota Tractor
Corp. has developed a new addition
to its U Series of compact excavators
that is designed to bring big power to
small work spaces.
The Kubota U55 is a 5 ton capac-
ity, minimal tail swing compact exca-
vator designed to work in tight job
sites while still providing strong front
lifting capacity. The U55 excava-
tor is powered by a direct-injection
Kubota V2607-DI diesel engine
developing 47. 6 hp at 2200 rpm.
The engine, which offers single-side
servicing, also includes an auto idle
feature designed to conserve fuel
and reduce noise level, the com-
pany said.
