A NEW POWER TEAM
Stateline, J.D. Power Systems co-develop Mitsubishi diesel-driven

supplies diesel, propane and natural gas gen-sets from 11 kW to 2
MW, in 50 and 60 Hz configurations. Stateline’s units are powered
by John Deere, Perkins and Doosan
diesel engines, as well as GM natural gas engines, most of which are
UL2200 approved, the company said.
Standard or custom units are available, in open or fully enclosed versions with options such as sound-attenuated enclosures and dual-wall
UL142 fuel tanks available.
J.D. Power Systems LLC is a wholly owned subsidiary of J.D. Equipment, one of the nation’s largest
John Deere equipment dealers.
Though active in supplying gen-sets
for a number of years, it was established as a separate company in
2008. Based in Grove City, Ohio,
J.D. Power Systems is an authorized
distributor for Stateline, Generac,
Mitsubishi and Hyundai generators,
the authorized sales and service
dealer for Mitsubishi Engine North
America for Ohio and Michigan and
recently the second U.S. company
authorized to distribute Mitsubishi
natural gas engines.
“The uniqueness of both companies
BY MIKE BREZONICK
The old saying goes that too many cooks can spoil the broth. And when you’re talking about two businesses trying to
cooperate on a product that both of
them can sell, it can indeed turn into
an unpalatable dish for both.
Yet there are exceptions to every
rule, and in the case of power generation one might be Stateline Power
and J.D. Power Systems LLC, which
have joined together to develop a new
range of Mitsubishi diesel engine-driven generator sets.
Both Stateline and J.D. Power
Systems have been active in power
generation for some time. Stateline
has been actively packing generator sets since 1994 at its 45,000
sq.ft. Greenville, Ohio, manufacturing
facility. A sister company to longtime Miami, Fla.-based packager

As part of its partnership, J.D. Power Systems supplies the Mitsubishi engines, along
with engineering and application support, while Stateline supplies the generator, controls,
radiator, skid and accessories, and is responsible for most of the package assembly.
