Doosan Portable Power has named McClung-Logan
Equipment Co. of Baltimore, Md., its newest dealer for its complete
line of portable power and light construction equipment for the cen-
tral Maryland and Delaware areas. McClung-Logan Equipment is
a full-service dealer of heavy construction equipment for the earth-
moving, aggregate and excavation markets, as well as road building,
utility, underground and waste segments. The company offers large
excavators, articulated haulers, wheel loaders, large compaction,
milling and compact equipment. Its lineup also includes Ingersoll
Rand-branded air compressors, mobile generators, light towers and
light compaction equipment. McClung-Logan, which started in 1939,
has seven locations in Maryland, Virginia and Delaware.
Capstone Turbine Corp. has received an order for 18 C65
microturbines for one of the world’s largest independent oil and nat-
ural gas companies. This is the second major order Capstone dis-
tributor Pumps & Service has recently received from a major oil and
gas company exploring large shale reserves — or plays — in the
United States. The 18 low-emissions C65 microturbines will provide
prime power to central processing facilities and metering stations at
remote well sites in the Eagle Ford shale play in South Texas.
Thompson Pump & Manufacturing Co. Inc., a manufacturer
and provider of pumps, pumping equipment and engineering exper-
tise, has achieved ISO 9001:2008 quality recertification for its Port
Orange, Fla. manufacturing facility. The new certification represents
an enhancement to the company’s previous ISO 9001:2000 clas-
sification. To achieve certification, Thompson Pump said it demon-
strated a comprehensive and effective quality management system
that governs all areas of its operation. Thompson Pump was evalu-
ated throughout every phase of the manufacturing process, including
design, procurement, production, and testing to accounting, safety,
logistics, information systems and human resources. The latest
analysis also included an audit of all policies and practices. The
scope of the audit process doubled when compared to the previous
9001:2000 standard, Thompson said.
Donaldson Co., a worldwide manufacturer of filtration products,

John Deere has increased its standard warranty coverage on
new construction equipment in the United States and Canada. The
free, basic warranty now covers customers for 12 months instead of
six months. In the event that an owner sells their equipment while it’s
under warranty, the warranty carries over to the next owner, accord-
ing to the company. John Deere also offers extended warranty pack-
ages, such as the company’s StructurAll warranty for excavators.
