trial markets, was named a 2009 Navistar
Diamond Supplier for exceeding perfor-
mance expectations last year, the company
said. Grede is one of Navistar’s more than
1200 suppliers and the only iron foundry to
receive this distinction. This is the second
straight year that Grede Holdings LLC has
received this award. Grede manufactures
components for Navistar’s MaxxForce die-
sel engines at its Menomonee Falls, Wis.,
machining operation and its casting facili-
ties in Wauwatosa, Wis.; Iron Mountain,
Mich.; and Biscoe, N.C. It also supplies
Navistar with parts manufactured using its
proprietary lost foam casting process from
its Columbiana, Ala., facility.

Hydraquip Distribution Inc. has partnered
with Thermal Transfer Products to assist
off-road engine manufacturers and equipment
builders with Tier 4 emissions compliance.
According to Hydraquip, the companies plan
to incorporate aluminum cores, integrated
compact cooler designs and fan controls to
provide a range of options for compliance
issues. Options will include increases in system heat rejection, changes in engine power
levels, engine application operating speeds
and torque, the companies said.
