Topping off Parker Hannifin’s PVplus axial piston pump family, the new PV360 is a variable displace- ment pump with a displacement of 360 cc/rev that is designed for a variety of heavy-duty mobile and industrial applications such as cranes and lifting equipment, hydraulic power units (HPUs) and marine.
NEW AXIAL PISTON
PUMP FROM PARKER
At 360 cc/rev, PV360 is largest in the PVplus pump line,
targets cranes and other larger equipment
The Hydraulic Pump Division of Parker Hannifin Corp. has in- troduced an addition to its
PVplus axial piston pump family. The
new PV360 is a variable displacement
pump designed for a variety of heavy-duty mobile and industrial applications
such as cranes and lifting equipment,
hydraulic power units (HPUs) and marine.
With a displacement of 360 cc/rev,
the PV360 is the new top end of a
range that also includes 16, 20, 23, 28,
32, 40, 46, 63, 80, 92, 140, 180 and
270 cc displacements.
The PV360 pumps offer pressures
to 5000 psi and incorporate a large
servo piston for exceptionally fast
response, the company said. They
incorporate Parker’s patented ripple
chamber technology that results in
40 to 60% less pressure and flow
pulsation than comparable pumps.
This, Parker said, means that
fewer sine waves — capable of loosening hydraulic connections and damaging downstream components —
are introduced into the system. That
is especially significant in applications where the hydraulic system may
already be subject to high impact forces, the company said. Pump noise is
also reduced, Parker added.
The pumps also feature a modular
design, offering a wider variety of com-
pensator options, including standard
pressure, remote pressure, load sensing
and horsepower. Pilot valves can also
be directly mounted without any piping,
which permits simple and straightfor-
ward in-field conversion, Parker said.
