PUTTING IT ALL TOGETHER
Bosch Emission Systems taking modular approach to exhaust gas aftertreatment systems for Tier 4 and beyond
BY MIKE BREZONICK
Almost since there have been diesel engines, Bosch has been a significant supplier of
products, technologies and services
to the vehicle and equipment markets. And when the technical focus
turned toward emissions reduction,
Bosch was right there too, supplying
a range of products such as high-pressure fuel injection systems and
aftertreatment controllers, urea injection and metering systems.
Yet as Tier 4 interim is phased in
and Tier 4 final standards loom in
more segments of the off-highway
industry, Bosch is looking to take yet
another significant step as its Bosch
Emission Systems GmbH heads
toward series production of modular
aftertreatment systems for on- and
off-highway equipment.
