With the introduction of Tier 4, Active
Exhaust has developed and introduced a number of exhaust system
integration and aftertreatment supporting technologies. These include
double-wall air gap and double-wall
insulated or ceramic-coated tubing,
device interfaces, thermal barrier heat
shielding and tailpipe aspirators and
exhaust diffusers, designed for tunable temperature performance.
The new exhaust products were
designed to support aftertreatment
performance while reducing radiant
heat within the engine compartment
and exhaust gas exit temperature.
These technologies can be applied
across a variety of applications and
sizes, Active Exhaust said, ranging
from 1 to 6 in. tube diameters.

Exhaust afterteatment manufacturer Albonair’s parent company,
Albonair GmbH, has opened its
new company headquarters on the
Phoenix West site in Dortmund,
Germany. The new space encompasses 32,292 sq.ft. and is equipped
with modern machinery and the latest testing equipment, designed to
allow Albonair to develop, manufacture and test its products under one
roof. In addition to offices, prototyping and laboratory, the building also
provides sufficient space for series
production with capacity to produce
200,000 dosing units, among other
products each year.
