CONTROLS
All AGCO TerraGators are equipped with
a panoramic, air-conditioned cab engi-
neered to provide more comfort, less noise
and more productivity.
operating environment. Because of
this, all electronic control modules used
in the TerraGator are encapsulated
with either conformal coating or potting
materials, which are designed to render
them more resistant to airborne chemicals and protect them from the effects
of heavy-duty shock and vibration.
“Equally important, it is critical that
electronic control modules used in
mobile electronic applications be
designed to tolerate transient electrical noise,” added Gall. “As a company
focused in mobile electronics, Marlin
has the electrical engineering design
know-how and testing resources to
provide controls that comply with
stringent electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards required in these
applications.
“An added benefit of our in-house
electrical engineering staff is that we
are able to provide application analy-
sis and product design enhancement
services, as well as supporting prod-
ucts after they are launched and in
the field.”
The Advanced Application Cab of
the new generation TerraGator is
specifically designed for application
equipment and features a six-post
design that AGCO said provides
greater visibility, allowing the opera-
tor to see the boom tips and avoiding
dangerous conditions where boom
views can be obstructed by cab-frame
posts. This improved visibility and
boom control is especially important
during transport of the machine from
field to field.
