Research leads Sauer-Danfoss to new joystick line
for equipment and vehicles
Sauer-Danfoss is introducing a new line of joysticks, the JS7000 series, for
control of off-highway applications such as backhoe loaders, skid-steer
loaders, telehandlers, wheel loaders and excavators, as well as some
on-highway uses.

With an eye on changing the way joysticks are perceived in the off-highway and
commercial vehicle markets, Sauer-Danfoss will introduce its new JS7000
line at this month’s IFPE show, part of
the massive ConExpo-Con/Agg exhibition in Las Vegas, Nev.
“Sauer-Danfoss has done well with
joysticks in the past, but we think,
especially given the research that
went into the JS7000, that we have a
chance to make this the market standard for this kind of product,” said Joe
Maher, product marketing manager,
electronic components.
The new JS7000 joysticks will be
sold as stand-alone controls or as part
of a complete Sauer-Danfoss mobile
vehicle control system. The JS7000
line will be manufactured at the company’s Minneapolis, Minn., operations,
with production beginning this month.
Targeted applications include off-
highway machines such
as backhoe loaders,
skid-steer loaders, tele-
handlers, wheel loaders and exca-
vators, as well as some on-highway
uses, Maher said.
