MAHLE CLEVITE: Ted Hughes, formerly marketing team leader
– program development, has been appointed manager – marketing
for Mahle Clevite Inc.,
the global manufactur-
er of components and
systems for the internal
combustion engine and
its peripherals. In his
new position, he will
lead the Mahle Clevite
efforts in promotions,
public relations, adver-
tising and the advancement of all electronic and web-based activi-
ties. Hughes has served for more than a decade in various mar-
keting roles at the company. Mahle Clevite has also appointed
Jeff Rayburn as its heavy-duty and turbocharger sales manager.
Rayburn will be responsible for leading the overall heavy-duty strat-
egy for the company.
New GM At Pierce Co.
Pierce Co., the Upland, Ind., manufacturer of mechanical and
vacuum governors, mechanical fuel pumps and gaseous fuel
engine components for OEM and aftermarket applications, has
named Lael Boren as its general manager. In addition, Karl Goy
has been appointed customer service manager. These moves were
made to realign Pierce Co. with its manufacturing roots in its core
product lines, the company said.
Winzer New President At Champion Laboratories
Champion Laboratories Inc., a global supplier of filters and
filtration products, announced that Wolfgang Winzer has been
appointed president. Winzer will be responsible for the worldwide
growth of filtration products from Champion Laboratories, which
include Champ, PetroClear, Kleener and Luber-finer products and
systems. He joins Champion Laboratories after serving for the past
two years as president of Webb Wheel Products Inc. He has also
held positions at Siemens VDO Automotive Corp.-North America,
where he served as vice president and general manager for both
the Aftermarket and Specialty OEM Business Units.
