Joachim Coers as CFO, who is replac-
ing Volker Heuer upon his retirement
as Tognum’s CEO, effective Oct. 1. In
his new position, Coers will continue as
the company’s labor director and remain
responsible for Human Resources world-
wide. Royal, who has been with Tognum
since 2007, currently serves as the head
of corporate finance, responsible for
investor relations, accounting, corporate
planning, treasury, taxes, mergers and
acquisitions, and investment controlling
worldwide.

Transitional Moves
For Brenntag
Steven Holland, currently COO of
Brenntag AG, a global specialist in chemi-
cal distribution, will assume his new role
as CEO on June 22 following the com-
pany’s general shareholders meeting. This
decision was made by Brenntag’s super-
visory board. Holland replaces Stephen
Clark, who will step down and be up for
election to the company’s supervisory
board. Holland joined the company in 2006
after the acquisition of Albion Chemical
Distribution Group, where he had been
CEO for eight years. In addition, William
Fidler, president and CEO of Brenntag’s
North American business, has joined the
management board and will be respon-
sible for the company’s North and Latin
American business.
CAPSTONE TURBINE: Capstone
Turbine Corp., a provider of microtur-
bine energy systems, has named Robert
C. Gleason as its senior vice president,
Program Management, which was effective
April 6. Capstone created the new position to
aid with its cost-reduction programs, reliabil-
ity improvement initiatives and Department
of Energy (DOE) programs.
Capstone has new product develop-
ments under way, which include a flexible
fuel microturbine that runs on agricultural
syngas, an externally fired solar powered
microturbine and an effort to increase the
output of the C200 microturbine to 250 k W
and use the new C250 as part of a new
multistage C370 product.
Before joining Capstone, Gleason spent
more than 17 years in program manage-
ment, project engineering and business
development in high technology compa-
nies such as Parker Hannifin and Aero-
Motive Co.

GENREP: Genrep Ltd/Ltée announced
that Rick Frise has
joined the com-
pany as manager
of Rental Solutions.
He will be respon-
sible for the devel-
opment of the rental
business in Greater
Toronto and sur-
rounding areas. Don
Poyntz has also joined the company as
its power product specialist. He will be
responsible for promoting Genrep product
and service offerings in Ontario (North of
Barrie), Canada.

New Managing Director For
Kohler In Asia
Kohler Co. announced that it has named
Michael Chng as its managing director
for Kohler Power Systems-Asia Pacific,
reporting to Jason Struthers, president
– Kohler Power Systems. Chng has full
and development, sales, engineering, qual-
ity, purchasing, inventory management,
manufacturing, distribution and account
management, along with customer support
and service. He will also drive business
improvement initiatives, the company said.
Prior to joining Kohler, Chng served as
managing director for Astrid Electronics,
where he was responsible for the start-
up of the Singapore and Malaysia joint
ventures between EDPN Technologies
and Astrid Electronics, Italy. He also
served in general manager positions at
both of TAMCO Systems and Invensys
Energy Systems.
