To support the demand for its services in
the international on-highway and off-high-
way markets, engineering products pro-
vider
Cambric Corp.
has announced the
opening of an engineering center in Iasi,
Romania. The engineering center, which
started with 30 engineers, is expected to
employ more than 75 by the end of the
year. This is Cambric’s third engineering
center in Romania and fourth in Eastern
Europe. The announcement comes on the
heels of Cambric’s formation of a dedicated
managed services business.
The Association of Equipment
Manufacturers
(AEM) has set several
industry education sessions for 2011 to
provide off-road equipment manufacturing
professionals with best-practices informa-
tion and tools they can use to become
more efficient and productive.
AEM is certified to distribute Continuing
Education Credits (CEU) for association
educational programming. CEUs help
ensure that AEM education continues at
its high quality level, assisting members
to remain current on industry and busi-
ness issues, AEM said. AEM face-to-face
professional development seminars will
examine industry trends in areas including
noise and vibration control, product safety
and compliance, product liability, marketing
and customer support.
AEM also has e-learning options avail-
able to provide educational programming
direct to industry professionals from their

real-time interaction with the speakers, and

Noland Company Drilling Equipment
of Roanoke, Va., has expanded its port-
folio to offer all the product lines from
Doosan Portable Power. Noland Co. is
now an authorized dealer of Ingersoll
Rand air compressors, generators, light-
ing systems and light compaction equip-
ment in the northern counties of Virginia
and southern counties of West Virginia.
Noland Co., founded in 1915, serves
the oil and gas, water-well and geother-
mal industries. Noland Company Drilling
Equipment has been a dealer of Ingersoll
Rand air compressors for 25 years, and
will now offer more variety of construc-
tion equipment, with Ingersoll Rand gen-
erators, light towers, rammers and walk-
behind compactors.
Metrac
, the Atlanta-based John Deere
heavy equipment franchise, has been sold
to Flint Equipment Co., an Albany, Ga.,
heavy equipment dealer. Reportedly, the
deal had been in the works for about a
year. The facility will continue operations
as a John Deere dealer.
Kirby-Smith Machinery
, based in
Oklahoma City, is one of the latest dealer
to carry Atlas Copco’s line of compres-
sors, generators, tools and light towers
for sale and rent. Kirby-Smith Machinery
was established in 1983 and serves the
construction, earthmoving, paving, road-
building, materials handling, compaction
and demolition markets. The company is
also an authorized dealer for Komatsu,
Manitowoc and Grove cranes, National
boom trucks, Bomag compactors, Hamm
compactors, Gomaco pavers, Sky-
Trak forklifts, Dressta dozers, LeeBoy
asphalt pavers and compaction, Wirtgen
recyclers/stabilizers, Vogele pavers,
Gradall excavators, Broce brooms and
Rosco equipment.
Rush Enterprises Inc.
, which oper-
ates a large network of commercial
vehicle dealerships in North America,
signed a definitive asset purchase
agreement to sell its John Deere con-
struction equipment business, including
its Rush Equipment Centers in Houston
and Beaumont, Texas, to Doggett Heavy
Machinery Services LLC. The purchase
price for the Rush Equipment Centers is
estimated to be approximately $37 million
for assets and goodwill. The transaction
was expected to close in the third quar-
ter. Rush Enterprises represents truck
and bus manufacturers including Peterbilt,
International, Hino, Isuzu, Ford, UD, Blue
Bird, IC, Diamond and Elkhart and two
construction equipment dealerships in
southeast Texas representing John Deere
construction equipment.
Nash Oil
and
Smoke Oil
of South
Carolina has formed a partnership with
Mansfield Oil’s DeliveryONE network to
distribute Air1 diesel exhaust fluid. Air1 is
manufactured by Yara, which has appoint-
ed Mansfield Oil as the exclusive distributor
in the United States to sell their branded
diesel exhaust fluid.
Together Nash Oil and Smoke Oil will
cover 58 counties in both South Carolina
and North Carolina. Mansfield Oil’s
DeliveryONE network will allow Air1 diesel
exhaust fluid to be sold and distributed
nationally. Air1 is available in 1 gal. con-
tainers up to commercial and retail bulk.
Air1 is licensed and API certified
through the American Petroleum Institute.
Mandated by the 2010 Clean Air Act, Air1
diesel exhaust fluid, in conjunction with
selective catalytic reduction (SCR), will
reduce harmful vehicle emissions from die-
sel vehicles.
Grede Holdings LLC
, a manufacturer of
cast, machined and assembled components
for the transportation and industrial markets,
announced it has been awarded a multiyear
contract to supply engine components to
Navistar for its new 2010 MaxxForce 7 V- 8
turbodiesel medium-duty engine. The engine
is being launched this year in a number of
commercial truck and school bus applica-
tions. The contract is the largest per truck
content award for Grede. The company said
it will manufacture the Navistar components
at its Menomonee Falls, Wis., machining
operation and its Wauwatosa, Wis., and Iron
Mountain, Mich., casting facilities. Grede
also supplies Navistar with ferrous castings
from its Biscoe, N.C., and lost foam castings
from its Columbiana, Ala., facilities, for vari-
ous truck applications.
LMS International
has acquired
100% of Emmeskay, a global provider
of advanced simulation technology prod-
ucts for model-based systems engineer-
ing (MBSE). No financial details were
provided. Emmeskay has offices in
Plymouth, Mich.; Chennai, Tamil Nadu,
India; and Nagoya, Aichi, Japan. LMS
said the acquisition complements its cur-
rent offerings for intelligent multiphysics
