and DX255LC). The compact wheeled
excavators have four machines in the
same power range (DX55W, DX140W,
DX190W and DX210W), while the
smaller wheel loader series features
the DL200, DL200TC, DL220, DL220,
DL250 and DL250TC, which are all
below 174 hp.
The Terex AWP business segment, which
covers the Genie booms and scissor lifts,
telehandlers and Terex light towers, has
a good understanding and capability in
hybrid technology based on its experience
with all-electric lift equipment, electrical
components and circuitry, along with its
recently introduced AL- 5 hybrid light tower.
While considering hybrids, the company
emphasized they would be a complement to
its Tier 4 lineup rather than a replacement.

it looks a lot better and because the
applications these machines are work-
ing in are not very conducive to having
something hanging off of them. We’re
trying to contain everything we can,
such as tube lines and hoses, because
if it is snagged, it’s going to get wrecked
in some type of application. So it’s our
goal to confine everything we can.”
