Ladd Industries Inc., a North American distributor for Deutsch Industrial connector products, has added the HDP Series C038 modification to the Deutsch HDP product family. HDP series circular connectors incorporate multiple pin count arrangements specifically designed for environments where moisture, dirt and rough terrain can contaminate or damage electrical connections. The HDP Series C038 modification is a seven-cavity arrangement that accepts four size 16 contacts rated for 13 Amp each and three size four contacts rated 100 Amp each at 746°F continuous. The new arrangement is a standard size 24 high-performance thermoplastic shell. The HDP Series C038 connectors are shock and vibration resistant and meet all the standard specifications for the heavy-duty Deutsch product line, Ladd said.

Vibratech TVD has released a new tor-sional viscous damper for Caterpillar C10, C12 and C13 engines in medium- and heavy-duty trucks. The damper can be installed at the current Caterpillar C10, C12 and C13 recommended 300,000-mile crankshaft vibration damper service interval or whenever a major engine overhaul or in-frame rebuild is needed. The damper self-tunes to the engine harmonic frequency across the entire rpm range for a single fitment application regardless of what other engine modifications are made, the company said. It is available in a raw steel finish coated with rust preventive and is suitable for painting.
